Junkyard: Jen Crownover's emails

3/23

Ladies and Gentlemen:

Attached is a list of entities and their contact information, including people that either myself, Mayor Mayer of Spring Branch, or others of you have spoken with about the concerns with “We Recycle” on US281.

Feel free to contact them as well, and urge them to put EYES on this entity to investigate their business and make sure they are running everything in compliance with the various entities’ guidelines.

You will notice that their recycling permit through DPS (also attached) also expires about 2 weeks. We do not know if it is in the process of being renewed or not, but you’re welcome to urge DPS to investigate this business before rubber stamping any kind of renewal of their license.

As any other developments emerge, I will keep you posted. In the meantime, I have already or plan to contact everyone on the list as well. Mayor Mayer has committed to the same action. There is power in numbers. At the very least, we hope that this will cause them to clean up their act and be a better neighbor in Spring Branch.

In your service,

Jen Crownover

3/24 Update

Here is an update to the Junkyard calls/emails:

I just got off the phone with LoAnn Williams at DPS.

She asks us to please send emails (rather than call) because they cannot file a complaint based on a phone call.

Send to: reportmetalstheft@dps.texas.gov

In the subject line, put: WE RECYCLE COMPLAINT

As stated in the "Contacts for Point of Concern", please ask DPS to not renew their permit which expires 4/8/16 without a thorough investigation to make sure they are not operating outside of their permit.

LoAnn told me she had spoken with several people but at this time, no one has sent an email.
